Inspire SN Habitats and Biotopes
Description
Geographical areas with specific ecological conditions, processes, structures and (life-supporting) functions are presented as a physical basis for organisms living there. The service shall include information on the fauna flora habitat types listed in Annex I, fauna flora habitat habitats as defined in Annex II, biotope open land, lists of legally protected biotopes (future) and data on the biotopes from selective forest biotope mapping. The service was created in cooperation with the State Office for the Environment Agriculture and Geology (LfULG) and the state enterprise Sachsenforst (SBS) as part of the Sax4INSPIRE project. As a result, a nationwide dataset was created, the permanent provision of which is made via the e-government basic component spatial data of the Free State of Saxony.
