National base on emissions of greenhouse gases and other substances

Description

The national database is an IT system, containing a secure database, which allows entering and processing the information indicated in Art. 2 points 1-10 of the above Act, i.e. information on: operators using the environment; the places of use of the environment where the emission-causing activity takes place; equipment the operation of which causes emissions; installations, sources of generation and emission sites; technical measures to prevent or reduce emissions; emissions; production volumes and characteristics of raw materials and fuels accompanying emissions; integrated permits or permits for the introduction of gases or dust into the air referred to in Article 181 of the Environmental Protection Law Act of 27 April 2001, including the types and quantities of gases or dust permitted for introduction into the air, permits referred to in the provisions on the greenhouse gas emission allowance trading scheme, and notifications of installations that may have a negative impact on the environment due to the introduction of gases or dust into the air referred to in Article 152(1); 1 of the Environmental Protection Act; derogations from emission limit values; investment projects, their implementation dates and projected emissions from these projects or emission reduction efficiencies or concentrations of substances in waste gases planned to be achieved as a result of the implementation of these projects. The above data, in accordance with Art. 1 of the above-mentioned Acts are introduced into the National Database by entities using the environment, whose activity causes emissions into the air. The information contained in the National Database is used, among others, for the purposes of official statistics, the system of fees for the introduction of gases or dust into the air, the system of balancing greenhouse gas emissions, reporting under the greenhouse gas emission allowance trading system in the European Union and the assessment of current air quality.
