Description
The material for bedrock 1:5 000 000 was completed in 1998 as a generalised presentation of the Finnish bedrock map – Berggrundskarta över Finland – Bedrock map of Finland 1:1 000 000. It describes the rock species of the Finnish bedrock in age groups. The map data also includes alkali rocks and carbonates. Separate files include port structures, plots, meteorite strikes and kimberlite areas. The explanation related to the material was updated in 2008.
