DANK - Water storage capacity in surface water system - Meuse
Description
Water can be stored in many places. In this file, the drainage possibility through the large rivers is shown.
The file indicates the maximum discharge capacity of the Meuse on which the so-called Maatgevende Hoogwaterstanden (MHW) are based. It therefore indicates the maximum amount of water that should be safely discharged through the river. It is not equal to the really maximum drainage capacity at every point on the river. In reality, side influxes from the regional system to the rivers must also be taken into account. This ensures that the drainage can be higher locally.
