Terrain relief – Web Map Service
Description
The WMS terrain relief provides a slumber image for the terrain with two possible characteristics: as a slanting light lobster and as a combined slumber (combination of slanted light lobster with embankment). In the two variants, the terrain is illuminated with an imaginary light source from northwest and a gray value is calculated for each pixel. The terrain is shown as a gray value picture. The slumber image illustrates the terrain forms and above all shows valley gradients, incisions and dams plastically. The WMS is limited to a maximum extension of 6,000 x 6,000 pixels.
