Description
The information contained in this data set is a raster of the bathymetry of the area, with a resolution of 5 m, with depths between 24 and 1210 m.
The area comprising the data provided corresponds to the bank of Amanay and El Banquete, both located on the southern margin of Fuerteventura, belonging to the archipelago of the Canary Islands and included in SCI ESZZ15002 Eastern and southern marine area of Lanzarote-Fuerteventura.
The raw data that constitute this raster were acquired during the campaigns carried out in the INDEMARES project: INFUECO_0611, INFUECO_1112 and INFUECO_1113. During the INTEMARES project, the bathymetric and reflectivity data available have been reprocessed in order to expand the geomorphological study of the area.
The geographical information collected is stored in a spatial database.
The reprocessing works have been financed thanks to the LIFE IP INTEMARES Project (LIFE-IP INTEMARES - Integrated, Innovative and Participatory Management for N2000 network in the Marine Environment - LIFE15 IPE/ES/000012). This integrated project has the challenge of laying the foundations to effectively manage the marine areas of the Natura 2000 Network and complete the work and progress promoted within the framework of the LIFE + INDEMARES project, which managed to take a great step in terms of declaring new areas.
