Description
The MMIF (Multimetric Macro-invertebrate Index Flanders) is used for the assessment of biological water quality. Macro-invertebrates are larger, visible invertebrates, such as insects (larvals), molluscs, crustaceans, worms, etc. The MMIF takes into account, among other things, the total number of taxa found, their diversity and their sensitivity to pollution.
