Drought Alert Zones - ZAS

Description

An alert zone is a coherent hydrological or hydrogeological unit for which the administration is likely to prescribe restrictive measures. This area can be anything or part of a sub-basin and its accompanying aquifer, all or part of a body of water groundwater or a group of bodies of groundwater. The delimitation of alert zones must take account of existing means of monitoring to enable appropriate follow-up and establish trigger conditions. The arrangements for defining alert zones are set out in Article R.211-67 of the EC. The drought alert zones (ZAS) available on this page of the SANDRE, correspond to the perimeters of the natural watersheds defined in the Drought Framework Orders. Attention: these ZAS do not always reflect the scope of the restrictions that you find in the restrictions decrees and in the data from Vigieau (public site, API, etc.). Some restriction orders contain specific management rules that lead to adjustments in the scope of the restrictions. For example, when a municipality is affected by several alert zones of the same type and/or different types (ESU/ESO/AEP), the restrictions may apply to the alert zone for ESU, ESO and AEP (the most common case) or: The maximum level applies to the municipality for the AEP but the ESU and ESO levels apply to the alert zone A single level; the most restrictive among ESU, ESO and AEP; applies to the municipality for all resources (1 single level ESU-ESO-AEP) A single level, the most restrictive among ESU and ESO, applies to the municipality for natural environments (1 single ESU-ESO level) and the AEP level is distinct The maximum level applies to the municipality for each type of resource (1 ESU level, 1 AEP level, 1 ESO level) To consult the drought alert zones corresponding to natural watersheds before the application of these management rules, the reference is that of SANDRE. To consult the drought alert zones after the application of these management rules, you will find restriction maps calculated day by day on data.gouv.
