Description
Documentation of the flood event in August 2002 with an inventory of the rivers affected by the floods and the flooded areas. As a result, flooded areas are determined in the most important waters of the main river basins Weiße Elster, Vereinigte Mulde, Zwickauer Mulde, Freiberger Mulde, Elbe and Schwarze Elster. The depiction of the flooded area of the Elbe in the district of Saxon Switzerland is based on calculations of the HQ100 and essentially corresponds to the flood spread of 2002.
