Soil erosion ABAG - ABAG: C-factor (Fruit rotation 2016-2019)
Description
For parcel-sharp issues of erosion protection, a large-scale map basis is required on the erosion sensitivity of agricultural soils and on the expected runoff paths in the target scale of 1:5,000. Due to their spatial resolution (5 x 5 m grid) and the consideration of slope length and crop rotation, these erosion hazard maps provide an important working basis for agricultural advice, the implementation of land consolidation procedures or measures to implement the European Water Framework Directive. The methodology is based on the General Soil Ablation Equation (ABAG), which is also the technical basis of DIN 19708. The maps of the erosion hazard are supplemented by drainage-effective depth lines that have connection to the water network and form the so-called extended water network with these.
