Quiet areas and inner-city recreation areas 2018
Description
Quiet areas within the meaning of the Environmental Noise Directive are large, contiguous open spaces, in some cases also in combination with interconnections in neighbouring landscape areas with low noise levels. Since the quiet areas primarily cover the remote areas, the noise action plan has formed a second category with inner-city recreational areas. However, they have a high function of staying and are significantly quieter in their core area than on their periphery.
