Accumulation of pressures that may cause the entry of invasive species into the Strait and Alboran Demarcation (EM ESAL PRE Aloctone Species)
Description
In the cumulative pressure analysis for invasive species, no distinction has been made between input vectors and vectors that facilitate dispersal. Therefore, all pressures for which spatial information is available and which may cause entry and dispersal of non-native species have been considered together, namely:
- Aquaculture facilities.
- Ports of general interest (areas I and II).
- Other ports.
Monobuoys.
Roundabouts.
- Approved locations for the discharge of dredged material from port areas.
Aquariums.
Given the difficulty in establishing zones of influence of the non-indigenous species (since their dispersal capacity depends on each species), only the cells containing or intersecting any of the layers used have been selected for the generation of the index. Each pressure has been assigned a value of 1, doubling the ports of general interest and quadrupling those with a bulk cargo of more than 6 million tons. He's finally joined in. Cells are classified:
Very High: 8 to 10 / High: 6 to 7 / Medium: 3 to 5 / Low: 1 to 2 / Very Low: 0
