Noise Action Plan - Noise Reduction Planning of the City of Braunschweig
Description
On the basis of the European Environmental Noise Directive (Directive/2002/49/EC), a noise action plan for the city of Braunschweig was drawn up and adopted by the relevant committees in August 2013. The noise action plan includes an inventory of the noise pollution situation and the pollution priorities in the city as well as the presentation of measures that have already been implemented and are currently planned in concrete terms. The noise action plan also contains statements on so-called "quiet areas" in the city of Braunschweig. The data are determined separately by type of noise (rail, road, aircraft noise, industrial, commercial noise). The use of the standardised stress indices, Lden and Lnight ensures that data are comparable across the EU.
