Description
The rocks of the Upper Shell Lime can only be found in the eastern part of the study area in edge sinks of salt structures. Further west, no mussel lime has been preserved due to the late Jurassic to Cretaceous erosion. The depth along the salt structures generally increases southwards and reaches its maximum in the edges of the salt wall Linda/Liane. High altitudes are mainly located in the north of the study area.
