CORINE Land Cover cover and land use – Local component – INSPIRE
Description
The land cover layers of the CLC local component complement the Pan-European component data and provide more detailed information on land cover and its use. The local component covers areas subject to specific environmental pressures and problems (hotspots). The products of the local components are based on satellite images of very high resolution (2.5 x 2.5 m) and other available data from high and medium resolution of the pan-European area. The nomenclature for individual layers of the CLC local component is separately defined and distributed into 4 levels. Within the territory of the Republic of Croatia, the layer of Urban Atlas 2012 includes 27 classes, the Tree layer and tree groups in urban areas 2012 has only 1 class, the layer Green elements in the areas adjacent to the land surface waters 2012 contains 4 classes, the layer of the Area next to the land surface waters 2012 contains 61 classes (with an additional 6 classes on the third level) of a total of 87 classes, and the Selected, grassland-rich layer, Natura 2000 2012 ecological network areas have 44 out of 62 classes.
