Historical Orthophoto AMS(B) 1956 / 1957 - WMTS

Description

WMTS service with the continuous historical image of the territorial scope of the Autonomous Community of the Principality of Asturias, obtained by orthorectification of the 1,115 aerial images of the region captured by the Cartographic Service of the United States Army between August 1956 and August 1957, within the framework of the General Flight of Spain of 1956. Also called American Flight 1956, American Flight Series B, or simply American Flight. Information provided in 2022 to the Principality of Asturias by the National Geographic Institute for the realization of the orthophoto, received in turn from the Cartographic and Aerophotographic Center of the Air Force, after the digitization of the frames in 2011, for its use and general dissemination.
