Description
Cultural heritage consists of a set of accumulated resources received inherited from the past, which, regardless of belonging, are considered in the perception of individuals and society as a reflector and voice of values, beliefs, knowledge, traditions, and includes the environment created in the interaction of people and places as time passes. Cultural monuments are divided into the following typological groups: 1. Archaeological monuments 2. Architectural monuments 3. Urban building monuments 4. Art Monuments 5. Historical venues 6. Indrustrial monuments. The list of State protected cultural monuments is published in the newspaper Latvijas Vēstnesis.
