Description
It contains information about the location of natural spaces, with this cataloging, existing in Andalusia. The Specially Protected Areas of Importance for the Mediterranean (ZEPIM) are unique marine and coastal areas declared under the Barcelona Convention that guarantee the survival of the biological values and resources of the Mediterranean by incorporating the most representative Mediterranean habitats and the best preserved areas.
It complements the rest of the protected natural areas, focusing on the protection of areas of true Mediterranean regional importance, so they are placed under international guardianship
