Description
Digital base that presents, in a vector file of polygons, the delimitation of the Andalusian agricultural regions established by the Ministry of Agriculture in 1976 (from the Typification of the Spanish Agricultural Regions (depending on 25 variables).
In 1996 the Technical General Secretariat of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPA) published the new "Comarcalización Agraria" in which 326 agricultural districts are established for the entire Spanish territory, which is the one that is still in force today (source: Book of the Agricultural District of Spain of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, 1996).
