Sediments in the Seabed

This map shows the textural distribution of the main types of surface sediments and the consolidated upwelling units of the continental margin. The texture classification includes three types of sediments: gravel, sand and mud (fine sediment) and outcropping formations consolidated on the seabed without distinction of origin, have been included in the category "rocks".
