Inventory of old abandoned mining works and their waste from the Pyrite Belt of the province of Huelva

The basic objective of the project is the elaboration of an inventory of the historical mining work abandoned in the area of Faja Pirítica of the province of Huelva. The inventory includes the old mining operations and structures generated by the mining activity as a result of the research, exploitation and exploitation of mineral resources, such as wells, sinks, open pits, pits, heaps, waste deposits, canals, etc., in which their work has been completely abandoned.
The works were carried out by the company Evalan 2003, S.L., commissioned by the General Directorate of Industry, Energy and Mines of the Ministry of Innovation, Science and Business of the Junta de Andalucía, under a technical assistance contract, during the years 2006-2007.
The information is available in some inventory sheets where a series of information is collected regarding the old exploitations and the structures generated by the mining activities, to later be implemented in a database.
