Description
Digital base of the planned road network in Andalusia. It includes the different routes and their categories, being able to differentiate between the different categories depending on the functional Hierarchy of the road (Great Capacity Network). It is generated with the intention of serving as a homogeneous reference for planning tasks of the Autonomous Administration. It aims to respond to the needs of the “Infrastructure Plan for the Sustainability of Transport in Andalusia (PISTA 2007-2013)”. The information has been collected at various levels of observation, although it is assumed that 1:100.000 would be the minimum scale at which the representation is reliable. The data, which are in shape format, are updated weekly since 2006 in the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, the body responsible for the information.
