Description
The Health District is aggregations of Basic Health Zones giving rise to the Primary Health Care Map. According to Law 2/1998 of 15 June, health districts of Andalusia are created in order to achieve the greatest efficiency in the organisation and operation of the Public Health System of Andalusia, generating for the planning, management and support of the provision of primary health care services in Andalusia. In 2002, the Primary Health Care Map of Andalusia was updated in accordance with Order of 7 June of that year and corrigendum to that order (June 2002 and September 2003). The information, created and stored in GIS format, has been documented in the Ministry of Health at 1:100,000 scale.
